Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s mind-boggling documentary brought in $15.6 million across 855 theaters in its opening weekend, posting the biggest opening for a film on under 1,000 screens since Borat in 2006.

🎟️ Ticketmaster may actually be taking a stand against AI bot ticket scalpers?! (Holy 2026 sentence btw)

The ticketing platform made a decisive hire by bringing in an Ex-Amazon Exec named Jim Freeman as their Chief Technology Officer. This move will “help with Ticketmaster’s adoption of AI tools, as well as helping to build their platform’s infrastructure.”

📽️ Legendary Entertainment has reportedly made a fresh bid to buy Lionsgate, sending the studio’s stock soaring more than 15% Tuesday and pushing its market value to $3.6 billion. The potential deal would give Legendary, control of franchises including “John Wick” and “The Hunger Games,” plus a library of over 20,000 titles.

🎵 Spotify also took two separate stances on AI yesterday…

First, they removed over 50 million ‘slop tracks’ from the platform’s recommendation algorithm. Rating: W!
Second, Spotify signed a licensing deal with Believe that will introduce an AI powered remixing tool. Rating: Unsure.

💡The Writers Guild of America East is giving members free access to Cloak, a tool that scrambles scripts so AI models struggle to read them while humans can read them normally. Sick
