We flipped roles this week, and I made The Co-Founder & longtime former CEO of UTA hand ME mail from the mail cart.
JK it was for him. But one of the coolest moments of AvA LIVE so far was having Jeremy Zimmer join in-studio, followed shortly by a real Hollywood assistant. No matter how big we go with guests, this show will always be about giving the next gen access & resources. Hit me up if you’re an assistant or intern and want to join the show live.
He had some amazing advice to anyone building a career in Entertainment:
“Be the most knowledgeable person in the building about a new platform that not everybody else is already chasing… [ask yourself] how do I get one step ahead of the next wave so I'm there and I'm an expert on it?”
Dare to stand out and take risks. Playing it safe only gets you so far.
⭐ Peacock posted their first ever profitable quarter 6 years after its launch (likely due to the World Cup, Love Island, the NBA, and more)

⭐ Christopher Nolan literally changed IMAX’s company trajectory
IMAX CEO called ‘The Odyssey’ a transformational event, probably due to the fact that the film drove the highest IMAX opening weekend total for a film ever. The company is also coming off of their best Q2 box office since 2019, and that only includes pre-sale totals of Nolan’s epic. Major Q3 incoming.
⭐ Travis Scott signed a first look deal with Paramount Pictures after playing a notable role in the movie for his company Cactus Jack (Click below to read more about Nolan & Scott’s relationship)
⭐ BAFTA changed their award show rules, including more films being eligible to be nominated and a major stance against AI ‘actors’
“Our awards are presented annually to recognize, honor and reward individuals for outstanding human achievement in originating, shaping and realizing the final artistic outcome, regardless of the tools used to bring this work to life.”
⭐ Fox joined the Alliance for Responsible Innovation in the Arts & Media (ARIAM) to help foster the development of AI guardrails
