🌧️ The weather is wreaking havoc here on the East Coast with major festivals like All Things Go NYC, Oceans Calling (MD) and now Global Citizen in Central Park all cancelled. Really sad for a lot of fans, artists and most importantly the people behind the scenes who have worked to put on these major events.

📝 Lawmakers officially introduced federal legislation that would allow an up to 30% film tax incentive across the US
The bill is bipartisan with the goal of restoring Hollywood’s production levels, and if it passes, will include a 20% base credit to all labor costs, along with a series of 5% uplifts that caps at 30%. Will report more on this as it evolves but this is a very good sign!
🎫 Macklemore announces ‘Free Palestine Tour’ with all ticket proceeds going to charity
The lineup will include artists and friends of his that have vocally supported the cause in the past… soooo we think any of Ed Sheeran’s other former openers will be on the list?
Kinda ironic with all of this happening that Ed Sheeran’s concerts at Robert Kraft-owned Gillette Stadium was cancelled due to weather.
🎥 Paramount Skydance is raising an additional $7.5 billion in debt to help finance the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, bringing their total ADDITIONAL debt to a staggering $44.4 billion.
Since I like to have fun with #math.. that is 888,000 Hollywood assistant salaries.
💻 Letterboxd is closing in on a sale that could value the film community at $300 million, with The New York Times and A24 among recent suitors.
🏆 The Spirit Awards are debuting a new category for ‘Digital Creators’ alongside Creator Camp… and the winner gets a $25,000 grant
The award show has been highlighting independent film makers for 41 years, and after digital creators had an unprecedented run last year, they decided it was time to honor them starting in 2027.
🎡 YouTube extended their partnership with Coachella until 2030
Their collaborations go back 15 years now, and this deal comes off the back of the platforms most watched Coachella stream yet (Re: Justin Bieber, Karol G, Sabrina Carpenter).
