We sat down for an exclusive interview and he had some of the best advice I’ve heard in 22 episodes of AvA LIVE (below). The craziest part? At the end of the interview he had to drive back to his desk. Legend.

📮 I started my career in the WME mailroom. What a time (haha). So there’s always been a bit of a rivalry between Hollywood agencies, so I thought.. what better way to decide who really is the BEST by making them prove it.
On October 4th, we will launch the first annual Battle of The Mailrooms. WTF does that mean?
Mailrooms will face off in a pickleball tournament, and assistants will play each other in AvA-coded games (mail cart race?) to crown the true champion of best Agency in Hollywood.
This event is open to anyone who was in the mailroom, an assistant or coordinator in 2026.

Suno launched a heavily edited video that made it look like Mary J. Blige was endorsing, and even impressed by, an AI-generated song designed to sound like her. I was pretty shocked she would publicly jump ship like that. Welp NOT SO FAST.
Suno pulled the ad after discovering the person who brokered the deal apparently had no authority to represent her. She hadn’t approved the ad, but still got dragged online for it. A brutal reminder that in the AI era, talent can lose control of their image before they even know it’s being used.
⭐ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day officially made it into the top 3 highest grossing films of all time. $2.33 billion… the next hurdle? ‘Avengers: Endgame at over $2.7 billion
⭐ The $1 billion Star Wars Museum is officially opening in LA after 8 years of development.
⭐ Kroenke Sports & Entertainment purchased a $4 billion majority stake in the Los Angeles Angels MLB team. Please don’t move them to LA.
Fun Fact: The Angels used to be owned by Disney until they were acquired by Arte Moreno in 2003 who is now selling the team on 20+ years later.
⭐ Grand Theft Auto 6’s Netflix preview topped the entire platforms charts with over 30 million views across 4 days.
⭐ The Soul Train Awards that highlight R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, and Gospel are returning after a 3-year hiatus to BET and CBS
⭐ Amelia Dimoldenberg announced that ‘Chicken Shop Date’ is coming to an end 12 years after its debut, with her focus turning to her Dimz Production company.
⭐ ‘Criminal’ Showrunner Ed Brubaker, Amazon MGM sued for hostile work environment by production assistant (The Hollywood Reporter)
Spotify promoted Joe Hadley to become VP of Global Music Content & Partnerships. Hadley joined Spotify in 2022, but he was formerly the Head of R&B + Hip-Hop at CAA who signed A$AP Rocky & Beyonce. Thinking he should come on AvA LIVE soon (hint).
Disney poached former Xbox Exec Jennifer Creegan as their first ever Marketing Tech & Operations Chief. Most recently she led strategy at Xbox, and was with Microsoft for 20 years.
CAA signed Sydney Sweeney who has been without an agent since late last year.
Amazon MGM named Carina Walker as their new Head of YA Programming, and she has been with the company for nearly a decade now.
BBC signed on former Netflix UK employee Chris Sussman as Director of Comedy.
