⭐ Disney is offering longtime executives early retirement packages as it looks to cut costs.
Eligible execs could receive up to a year of severance, continued healthcare and equity vesting, plus, checks notes, free Disney park access for life. Basically: take the money, keep the stock and enjoy Space Mountain. Layoffs suck.
⭐ The NBA’s 11-year & $76 billion media rights agreement kicks off this season after 40+ years of partnering with Turner Sports for broadcasts
The new deal includes a 3-company partnership across Disney ESPN/ABC, NBCUniversal NBC/Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. NBC returns to NBA coverage after a 23-year absence, Amazon enters live NBA broadcasting for the first time, and ESPN retains a reduced but still central role. More on that here.
⭐ Paramount and the Attorney General of California were supposed to meet today about a possible settlement… but the AG canceled it until Paramount ‘stops playing games’

⭐ Prime Video announces their plan to invest $2 billion into Latin America between 2027-2030
The investment ‘will span original programming, locally produced and acquired content, and live sports rights’ across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia & Chile with plans to double the amount of local originals.
⭐ New York City is the new Silicon Valley?
For the first time ever, NYC has posted more jobs in tech than the San Francisco hub that has become a well known incubator for the technology sector. New York came out on top with 394,300 jobs compared to 375,730.
⭐ TikTok is set to pay a $400 million settlement to the US Justice Department for the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act case brought against the company.
⭐TELETUBBIES bought an AI company. What the actual F.
Yes you heard that right, WildBrain, the owner of Teletubbies and other kids’ IP, is acquiring Personality AI in a deal worth $11 million upfront.
Personality AI builds generative AI-powered character experiences, including Hey Peppa Pig, which lets kids talk with Peppa on Amazon Fire Kids tablets. WildBrain says the goal is to help IP owners create controlled, kid-safe AI interactions across toys, apps and other platforms
