📹 Today on AvA LIVE we are bringing some heat. You’ll be able to ask all of these ppl questions live, win tix to a Greek Theater show this weekend, and grow your brain.
AvA LIVE Lineup Booked In Partnership With:

⭐ Cinema United is urging Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison and California Attorney General Rob Bonta to settle their beef
The theater owners are pushing for protections around theatrical output, exclusivity windows, rental terms and access to films. AMC, Regal and Cinemark also want this resolved quickly. Their thinking is pretty simple: the box office is booming (we are so back) and a drawn-out legal fight could freeze productions and hurt the momentum.
For better or worse, they’ve decided a merged studio is preferable to having both studios stuck in legal limbo for years.
⭐ Paramount asked California, 11 other states and the WGA to put up $1.9 billion to cover potential losses if their legal challenge delays the WBD merger.
California’s response was… not subtle: “They are lying in a bed of their own making, and once again, trying to blackmail us to get us to back down.”
⭐ Travis Kelce, Publicis Groupe and 3 Arts Sports are launching Tekta, a new agency helping brands strike NIL deals with college athletes.
The venture will give select Publicis (one of the world’s largest advertising and marketing companies) clients access to a network of 45,000 Division I athletes across 68 universities, helping brands find talent, structure partnerships and actually measure if the deals worked.
Why it matters: NIL is already a $4.5 billion market, but it’s still messy as hell. Tekta is trying to become the middleman that makes college athlete partnerships easier to buy at scale. If I were early in my career and interested in brands or sports, I’d be trying to find my way to get into the NIL $$ game.
⭐ ABC sued the FCC, arguing the agency is threatening its broadcast licenses and violating the network’s First Amendment rights.
The Disney-owned network had all eight of its station licenses pulled into early renewal this year, with ABC specifically pointing to FCC scrutiny around ‘The View’ as government overreach into protected speech.
⭐ Ellie Goulding is suing her former management company TaP, alleging they pushed her toward Live Nation deals without disclosing that Live Nation owned the company.
Goulding claims that created a clear conflict: her managers were supposed to fight for the best deal for her, while also having ties to the company they were steering her toward.
⭐ Round Hill filed a $1 billion lawsuit against evil overlords Anthropic and Suno (for the classic and justified reason despite a billion being a lot)
"There is simply nothing fair about a company using theft to build for purely commercial purposes a multi-billion dollar business while those from which they steal receive nothing."
