⭐ Yesterday I spoke at Fortune Brainstorm Tech with Georgie Holt, the co-founder & CEO of FLIGHTSTORY which she is building alongside Steven Bartlett (Diary of a CEO). Here are some takeaways:
Audiences are becoming more interested in the human process, not just the polished outcome. She calls it the "messy middle." The more AI-generated content we see, the more valuable authenticity becomes.
Her advice to creators: experiment constantly and pay attention to the data. Most people quit before they find signal.
Obsession is still a competitive advantage. We both strongly believe there is more opportunity than ever in entertainment, but the people who break through will be irrationally committed to and obsessed with what they're building.
⭐ The Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery deal has been approved in Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and more, but is still pending across the US, Europe, and UK
⭐ 'Obsession’ is now the highest grossing film festival acquisition of all time ($225.5 million) dethroning ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’ which set the record in 2004
⭐ Women now own over 40% of US businesses while employing 12.6 million people and bringing in $2.8 trillion in revenue, posting a 12% increase from 2022 to 2025
