⭐ CAA launched a new $250 million fund for creator owned businesses with Integrated Media Company
Lot of buzz words in that press release but more money into the creator economy is a great thing obviously. Just not sure how these deals will work out for creators long term being absorbed into very structured and traditional agencies. CAA has been bringing on some top level talent and am trusting the process.
⭐ Warner Music Group purchased the AI detection company Sureel
This service will create ‘AI DNA’ for each work, which will make it easier to track when different components of a song are used in other generative works. One of the most positive AI acquisition headlines so far
⭐ The New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs Game 3 was the highest grossing ticketed event in NBA history
The highest tickets were a courtside pair that sold for around $1 million, and it was also the most watched 3rd game in the NBA finals in nearly 30 years… when Michael Jordan still played.

⭐ The National Music Publishers Association announced a licensing deal with AI music generation tools Udio and Klay
⭐ USC becomes the first college football program to hire a Director of AI
It is unclear what the new Director Connor McQuiston’s focus will be in the role, as the sport is “still in the early stages of deploying it across the football landscape,” as per The Athletic.
⭐ Underscore launches an experts division to help founders, educators and professionals turn expertise into content, deals & media ventures.
