⭐ Ben Stiller is teaming up with A24 and HBO Max to produce a documentary about the New York Knicks (this will make a really specific group of people happy).

BTW this was one of the most iconic moments from the Knicks championship run.

⭐ The NO FAKES Act has made its way into the senate, and if passed it would ban AI-powered deep fakes and voice cloning

Penalties under the bill are tiered: $5,000 per work for an individual, $25,000 per work for a company that creates or distributes a replica, and up to $750,000 per work for an online service that fails to comply.

⭐ Fox Creator Studios takes a huge bet on a new wave of talent

Former Chernin Group & Slow Ventures exec Billy Parks left to lead Fox’s Creator Studio, with a goal to invest in creators and “scale what’s already working.” They just announced their first round of investments into names like Josh Richard, Alice Ma (Rad Realities) & Christina Richardson.

The line between traditional Hollywood and the creator economy doesn’t exist anymore.

⭐ Bad Bunny officially becomes the first Latin artist to cross $1 Billion in tour revenue

⭐ Ryan Coogler’s production studio Proximity Media pens a multi-year deal with Netflix to exclusively develop TV shows on the platform

Previously they had an ‘overall deal’ with Disney that expired this year, and during that time the ‘Sinners’ studio led the way for projects with Marvel, National Geographic, and more.

⭐ Bose is launching a content studio AND record label. Because why not.
